Even from a young age, Carter was a heartbreaker. He has lived all of his life in VA but has dreamed since he was little to visit all the states

Growing up right here in Lynchburg Kathleen was full of joy and always wanted to make others happy and help in any way she could

In the summer of 2015, they met each other - she still remembers that he was wearing a popsicle shirt that went down to his knees. They had a few friends in common and kept running into each other over the next 6 months, Until that fateful Thursday when they both happened to go to the same New Years party with their friends and happened to run into each other. Who knew that taking this photo that night would be the start to a long life together.

By that Summer they were best friends, spending so many summer days together. They were such a positive influence on each other lives. Both are incredibly thankful for these years of friendship that would lead to such a strong partnership later on.

His smile was infectious. At times when people in her life were trying to steal her joy, she always had him to fall back on. She is very thankful for his kindness, understanding, and patience with her situation in life at this time.

This was the day He asked Her to be his girlfriend. After the movies, sitting on his front porch swing, He said "I don't know what this next year looks like but I know I want you in my life though it"

Their first year as an official couple was long distance and showed them just how important communication was to a relationship. Video calling was a normal nightly thing and living more than 10 hours apart made them cherish the time they did get in person.

After she returned home they began living life together. They got their first place together, joined the work force, and grew closer as a couple during this time.

This trip to DC was so much fun, a concert and museum all in one

Oh how young they were, celebrating his 22nd birthday and their 2-year anniversary all in the same month.

Then the global pandemic hit and life turned upside down. But he couldn't have asked to go through a lockdown with anyone else but her

She started nursing school in the pandemic, which was one of the craziest things she had ever done. While life around them was hard, their bond through this time deepened further.

The day she finally did it, she made her dream come true and he was right by her side! Despite this being one of the hardest years for both of them, they stayed true to their love, passion, and support for one another.

A milestone was reached for him, he was now halfway through his 20s and had grown into an incredible young man. He was now looking forward to what the future had for them, and looking back on this hard year knowing it just made them stronger together.

The day came, when he took her to the spot where they had their very first date, got down on one knee, and asked "WILL YOU MARRY ME?!" She said yes with all of the excitement and joy overflowing from her

That brings them to this day, where they finally get to celebrate 7 years as a couple 9 years as bestfriends, and the beginning of a lifetime together. They both cherish the memories that have brought them this far, and look forward to a future full of many more.
